Internship Program at Great Explorations

Great Explorations Children’s museum has 2 internship spots open for Summer, Fall and Spring semesters. Interns will work closely with the Education department or Early Explorations Preschool. This internship can be tailored to work with any University’s requirements, and looks great on a Resume. This non-paid position will give you experience suitable for many different fields, museum studies, early education, art history, humanities, Science and Mathematics education, and many more. Volunteer Information

At Great Explorations we love volunteers! Volunteers are welcome to help in all areas of the museum. You can apply to become a short term volunteer, for a special event, a long term volunteer or work towards Bright Futures hours.

Volunteers are currently needed in the following programs/departments: 

Lobby/ Reception (Greeting guests, answering phones)

Gift Shop (Helping customers, answering the phone)

Administrative office (Filing, writing thank you letters, making phone calls)

Gallery Floor (Interacting with museum visitors, helping with shows, helping keep the museum tidy)

Early Explorations Preschool (Helping pre school teachers)

Summer Camp (Helping summer camp teachers)

Monthly Special Events (Help with special activities in the museum gallery)
