Great Friends to Kids Lunch...

• Honoring – Jeffrey Fortune, Robert & Barbara Anders -- founders of Academy Prep

• Recognizing – students from Academy Prep St. Petersburg Campus for their leadership in mentoring at-risk children enrolled in Great Explorations’ after school program.

• Celebrating – Great Exploration’s 20 years of excellence!

You’re invited to join community leaders in the Tampa Bay area who are investing in our greatest asset: our children. This year we are honoring the founders of Academy Prep: Jeffrey Fortune and Robert and Barbara Anders. Serving boys and girls in grades 5 through 8, Academy Prep's impact is most evident through the success of its graduates. Founded in a neighborhood where less than 37% of students were graduating from high school, 95% of Academy Prep's graduates are currently in high school, college, or have already begun successful careers.
Students from Academy Prep currently provide hands-on mentoring for 50 at-risk students who are enrolled in Great Explorations’ After School Explorations. Great Explorations, The Children’s Museum is proud to partner with Academy Prep as both organizations work toward transforming our community through inspiring the children and families of Pinellas County.

Please consider sponsoring the Great Friends To Kids lunch. Proceeds from the lunch provide Foster Great Futures services for underserved children that include after-school tutoring, camp and pre-school scholarships, leadership workshops, and free museum admissions. Great Explorations Foster Great Futures outreach program provides a solution in the community giving vulnerable children a safe and nurturing place to learn and grow.
